Ex-Charleston County Schools official accused of using job to help solicit minor

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A former Charleston County School District administrator already facing charges tied to an alleged attempt to meet a 14-year-old for sex is now accused of using his district position to facilitate the conduct and cover it up, according to court documents.

Matthew Robert Jordan was arrested and charged with attempted criminal solicitation of a minor and attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor on Nov. 29, 2022. At the time, Jordan was an employee of the Charleston County School District and held the position of Director of Business Intelligence.
