James Island unveils first new fire station 2 in over half a century

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCSC) — After more than 60 years, James Island firefighters are moving into a new fire station 2 built to serve their growing community.

The James Island Public Service District broke ground on the $6.5 million facility in October 2024. The district worked with Charleston County to secure funding for construction.
