CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man was sentenced in connection with a crash that left one person dead nearly five years ago.
Melvin Otto Lamb III pleaded guilty to reckless homicide, Ninth Circuit solicitor’s office spokesperson Ashley Kay said.
Lamb’s convictions stem from a vehicle crash that occurred in Mount Pleasant on June 12, 2021. He was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Highway 17 near Hamlin Road when he crashed into the victim’s 2019 Chevrolet Trax, which was stopped and waiting for the light to change at the intersection.
