Bunny rescues see uptick in abandoned bunnies after Easter, urging families to think twice before adopting

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Easter is days away, and while bunnies may seem like the perfect gift, many families don’t realize the long-term commitment that comes with them. As a result, dozens of bunnies end up left behind when the holiday is over.

According to Paisley’s Bunny Rescue, located in Summerville and Bishopville, SC, gifting bunnies can also come with serious consequences. They tend to see a huge surge in abandoned bunnies after the holiday.
