NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A man was arrested on Sunday morning for allegedly stealing neighborhood mail in North Charleston. Officers reported that he claimed to be the “royal mail ambassador.”
At around 2 a.m., North Charleston police officers were dispatched to the area of Brossy Circle and Dorchester Road after a resident reported seeing a man tampering with mailboxes. The caller mentioned that the same individual had been observed doing this for the past two nights while carrying two plastic bags.
When officers arrived, they say they questioned the suspect, who told the officers that he was the “royal mail ambassador.” While speaking with the suspect, the officers say they noticed a piece of mail in one of his bags “that clearly did not belong to him.”…
