MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) — The Town of Mount Pleasant is moving forward with a project to reduce traffic congestion at the intersection of Long Point Road and the I-526 East off-ramp.
The intersection experiences heavy congestion, particularly during peak hours. Kate Sherman, manager of Summit Coffee, said turning onto Long Point Road can take “10, 15, even 20 minutes sometimes.”
“You never know when you’re going to get through,” Sherman said.
