Summerville barricaded call ends with suspect not found in apartment, officers say

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – The Summerville Police Department responded to an alleged barricaded suspect following a domestic situation involving a firearm Saturday morning at the Gates apartment complex.

According to Deputy Chief Chris Hirsch, officers responded to the Gates apartment complex at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Saturday due to an alleged domestic incident involving a firearm.

The victim was able to leave the apartment safely. However, it was believed the suspect was refusing to leave the apartment, Hirsch says.
