Wegmans Food Markets will open its first Charlotte location at 9 a.m. on Oct. 14 in the Ballantyne neighborhood. The 110,000-square-foot supermarket at 11550 North Community House Road will bring jobs to around 450 workers.
The grocer announced the opening date on Thursday. Construction started in September 2025 when the company broke ground.
“We’ve put a lot of care into hiring and training our new team, and we’re looking for more enthusiastic candidates to join us before opening day,” said store manager Patrick McGuinness in a statement. “Construction on the new store is well underway, and we’re thrilled to begin the countdown to October 14 when we will welcome the community through our doors.”…
