CHARLOTTE, N.C. — While North Carolina lawmakers consider a potential 8% average pay raise for teachers, one of the state’s largest school districts is taking its own steps to help teachers find housing.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is the latest district in the state to work on new initiatives to aid teachers. Buncombe County, Dare County and Brunswick County Schools are districts with current or proposed initiatives of this nature.
