Cornelius high school sophomore killed in rollover pickup truck crash, police say

DAVIDSON, N.C. (WBTV) – A teenager at a Cornelius high school was killed over the weekend in Davidson after he was ejected from a pickup truck in a single-vehicle crash, according to police.

Around 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, police said they found a white Chevrolet Colorado on its side in a residential area off Shearer Road in Davidson.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they spoke with a witness and she was driving on Shearer Road when she saw the Colorado driving recklessly behind her. The Colorado was allegedly riding very close behind her and reviving its engine, according to an affidavit…
