Woman electrocuted by power lines in southeast Charlotte: What we know

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A woman was electrocuted this week after storms rolled through the area knocking down a power line in southeast Charlotte.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, officials said that a 37-year-old woman was electrocuted off Craig Avenue near Sharon Amity Road in southeast Charlotte.

A neighbor, Scott Mallonee, said that he heard a bunch of pops outside of his home on Tuesday night. When he came outside to look he saw a power line that had snapped and caught on fire…
