(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — More than 20,000 homes lost power between Mecklenburg and Gaston counties Friday afternoon as severe thunderstorms blew through the area.
In Charlotte, Duke Energy is reporting several groups of outages near the center city, including Dilworth (1,400) uptown’s Fourth Ward (855), just north of uptown (1,200) and Ashley Park (1,400).
