CMPD investigating assault with injuries in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating an assault in east Charlotte.

According to CMPD, around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to I-74 near the Briar Creek exit about an assault with a deadly weapon with injury.

It’s unclear how many people were hurt, but CMPD said, “the victims self-transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.”…
