16-year-old girl dies days after tree falls on her home in Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 16-year-old girl has lost her life days after a tree fell in her bedroom due to severe storms.

According to the Huntersville Fire Department, the tree fell just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, on a residence in the 9500 block of Rollingwood Drive in the Huntington Green community.

It took crews about 45 minutes to remove the tree with hydraulic tools.
