New restaurants bring sweet treats, burgers to Sadler Square

DAVIDSON – Sadler Square is quickly becoming one of Davidson’s newest dining destinations with the opening of two locally owned businesses offering everything from allergy-friendly ice cream to all-natural smashed burgers.

Seemingly Overzealous officially opened its Davidson location on July 1 at 207 Griffith St., bringing its popular dairy-, egg- and gluten-free ice cream to the Lake Norman area. Two days later, Harriet’s Hamburgers welcomed its first customers at 201 Griffith St., adding its nostalgic take on classic American burgers to the growing shopping center.

Founded by Charlotte residents Jessica Berresse and Garrett Tichy, Seemingly Overzealous has built a loyal following by proving that allergy-friendly desserts don’t have to sacrifice flavor or texture. The approximately 1,000-square-foot Davidson shop seats 25 guests and features a colorful mural by Esther Moorehead, glitter floors and the playful décor that has become a trademark of the brand…
