North Carolina man, ex-Wells Fargo VP, sues bank for $1.2M+ in discrimination lawsuit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS/WGHP) — A former Wells Fargo executive is suing the bank, alleging he was pushed into early retirement after raising concerns about discrimination, his disability accommodation, and the treatment of his predominantly Black team.

Robert Propst filed the lawsuit on Aug. 10 in federal court. According to court documents, Propst worked for nearly 38 years at First Union, Wachovia, and ultimately Wells Fargo.

The Charlotte Observer reports that Propst is a Rowan County resident and that the lawsuit is being filed in the Western District of North Carolina. Wells Fargo’s largest employment hub is the Charlotte area…
