CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A Charlotte mother said her children’s first day of school was a nightmare after a school bus dropped them off 20 minutes from home, leaving them in the care of a complete stranger.
Ashley Cofield said she barely slept Tuesday night and that her kids, a fourth grader and kindergartener at Charles H. Parker Academic Center, were scared to get on the bus again.
What happened: 2 kids dropped off in wrong neighborhood
Cofield said her two children got on the bus at around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Cofield said her children were supposed to get dropped off in their neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the school, but ended up in north Charlotte neighborhood 20 minutes away around 7 p.m…
