Mecklenburg County sheriff’s deputy injured in Cornelius multi-vehicle crash

CORNELIUS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Mecklenburg County sheriff’s deputy was taken to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Cornelius, according to Cornelius Police.

The crash happened around the middle of the day on Wednesday, Aug. 26, on North Main Street, across from Habitat for Humanity.

Cornelius Police said the crash involved a Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The sheriff’s office says the deputy was attempting to avoid a crash and lost control of his vehicle. The deputy was taken to CMC for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.
