CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte woman landed four years in prison after being convicted of committing nearly $2 million in Medicaid fraud.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Western North Carolina announced Thursday that 40-year-old Crystal Sherrell Jackson was sentenced for submitting fraudulent bills to the North Carolina Medicaid Program for psychotherapy services and urine drug testing that were never provided.
After her 48 months in prison, she is ordered to three years of supervised release, and also must pay $1.6 million in restitution.
