Trial set for North Carolina tow company accused of illegal towing practices

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A local tow company based out of Lowell is accused of illegal towing practices and is set to go to trial, court records show.

The City of Gastonia filed a civil lawsuit against Jack’s Towing and Recovery Service, LLC on March 20, alleging that the business conducts trespass tows from private parking lots and wouldn’t allow customers to pay with a credit card.

The complaint details several incidents where the company, owned by Marshall Gregory, allegedly towed from private properties across Gastonia, including a church, and required the owners to pay in cash.
