North Carolina governor issues $25K reward years after mass shooting in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The North Carolina governor issued a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction regarding a mass shooting in Charlotte.

The shooting happened more than six years ago, on June 22, 2020, during a Juneteenth celebration along Beatties Ford Road near Catherine Simmons Avenue.

Four people were killed. They were:

  • 28-year-old Christopher “CJ” Gleaton
  • 29-year-old Kelly Miller
  • 31-year-old Dairyon Stevenson
  • 39-year-old Jamaa Cassell

Investigators said multiple shooters fired more than 150 shots into a crowd of hundreds of people. Three of the four victims were killed by the gunfire, while the fourth died after they were hit by a fleeing vehicle…
