Two more Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools leaders are departing the district in January, according to an email sent Monday and a school board member.
CMS Chief Operations Officer Tim Ivey submitted his intent to retire, a school board member confirmed to The Charlotte Observer. That makes him the fourth member of Superintendent Crystal Hill’s cabinet to announce their departure this month.
Tangela Williams, a CMS associate superintendent of human resources, will also leave the district. She told HR staff she would be retiring, effective Jan. 1, citing increasing caregiving responsibilities for a close relative. A source close to the district shared the email with the Observer.
