Man sentenced after alleged shooting and attempted armed robbery at Charlotte arcade: DOJ

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte man has been sentenced for his involvement in a shooting during an attempted armed robbery in 2024, according to the Department of Justice.

On Wednesday, 29-year-old Grant Cole Harden was sentenced to nine years in prison followed by two years of supervised release for possession of a firearm by a felon.

On December 22, 2024, Harden entered an arcade on the 3700 block of Monroe Road, where he allegedly brandished a firearm and disarmed a security guard.

Officials said Harden “engaged in a shootout” with someone else in the arcade. According to the police report, Harden and two other people in the store were struck and taken to the hospital with serious injuries…
