YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Silfab Solar’s legal troubles continue to escalate after a court submitted an entry of default against the manufacturer in a $1.3 million lawsuit.
Sunbelt Rentals filed the lawsuit against Silfab in late July, alleging the company failed to pay equipment rental bills for construction completed at the Fort Mill facility. Court documents say Silfab rented equipment from Sunbelt between January 27, 2025, and March 12, 2026, and the solar panel manufacturer has allegedly failed to make payments for the service.
According to the Repayment Contract, Silfab was required to pay $50,000 every week, starting April 3, until the outstanding balance was paid in full. Sunbelt alleges Silfab has failed and refused to make the agreed-upon payments…
