Charlotte will soon become home to one of the largest botanical domes in the nation.
The new Oasis Wellness Sanctuary will center around a massive 200-foot botanical dome planned for Brookhill Village near South Tryon Street and Remount Road. It will be wider than St. Louis’ 175-foot Climatron, Omaha’s 160-foot Desert Dome, and even EPCOT’s roughly 180-foot Spaceship Earth.
The full project could cost up to $54 million and span about 41,000 square feet.
Inside the dome, plans call for tropical plants, natural light, acoustic performances and sound-healing programs. Four smaller buildings surrounding it would focus on Water, Fire, Air and Ether…
