Thirty-four years after making its debut in Greensboro, Cook Out is getting ready to have a big year by opening more locations in the company’s home state.
The company will start by expanding with another location in Greensboro at 4801 W Market Street , followed by another site coming to Randleman at 685 W. Academy Street , according to the company’s website. On top of these two listed upcoming locations, Cook Out’s website also lists several other new restaurants coming soon, including sites in Hickory , Southport , and Wilmington and new locations coming to South Carolina , Tennessee, and Virginia.
The several upcoming locations prove the company is far from slowing down its expansion plans. Closer to Charlotte, the company recently submitted a sketch plan review with the city to open a new location at 10820 Woodland Beaver Rd . This will be the closest Cook Out to downtown Charlotte. While the city is still processing the request, owners are looking to construct a new 3,100-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru. The new location on Albemarle Road is expected to open later this year, possibly early next year.
