According to a new report published by Country 103.7, a school in NC could be closing very soon. According to the report, the Cabarrus County School Board will be talking to the public tonight about proposed plans to close Beverly Hills Elementary School in Concord.
According to the report, the reason school district officials are concerned about the age of the building, which was built in 1953 and is more than 70 years old. Cabarrus Schools superintendent, Dr. John Kopicki, said in a statement “It presents a lot of challenges from a safety point of view”.
If the decision is made the close the school, students will be reassigned to W.M. Irvin, Winecoff, and Royal Oaks Elementary Schools.
