MOUNT HOLLY – The small town of Mount Holly is reeling from recent revelations in a tragic double homicide case. Search warrants filed at the Gaston County Courthouse have shed new light on the deaths of two 19-year-old men, revealing a drug deal that turned deadly.
A Deadly Encounter on Piedmont Avenue
The victims, Jaylan Marray Jackson and Jayden Dae’shun Munson, both 19 and from Concord, met their tragic end on December 14. They were in a vehicle near Dodge Street and Piedmont Avenue in Mount Holly when the fatal shooting occurred. According to the investigation, the young men were there to sell close to a pound of marijuana.
Arrests and a Manhunt
Zabreon Isaiah Wallace, 18, of Mount Holly, and a 17-year-old, whose identity remains undisclosed due to age, have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting. The police are actively searching for a third suspect believed to be involved in this heinous crime.
