A WOMAN has received justice for her late husband, who was forced out of his home at gunpoint.
Jethro DeVane, 73, was pulled from his Rock Hill, South Carolina home in 2019 while he was naked by police officers in the middle of the night.
At the time, officers were reportedly looking for teenagers who broke into a neighbor’s car.
Video of the scary scene showed DeVane peeking his head outside his front door to hear the disturbance outside.
Rock Hill Officer Vincent Mentesana curses at the elderly man, telling him not to close the door.
Mentesana ordered DeVane to stand naked outside his home at 4 am, facing the wall, according to the video.
When DeVane asked what was happening, Mentesana told him, “I don’t want to talk to you.”
Mentesana held his gun to DeVane’s head for 90 seconds as other officers searched his home.
“I did what the man said. He had the weapon,” DeVane said at a news conference in 2020. “He could have took my life in a minute.”
