CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WGHP) — Kevin Prast, of Huntersville, won $100,000 after buying a scratch-off at a grocery store, according to an NC Education Lottery news release.
“I walked in for chicken and walked out with lobster,” he said. “Not a bad day.”

Prast said he initially did not plan to stop but decided to grab something for dinner at the last second.
“It was just a fluke thing,” he said. “It happened on a whim.”
He bought his winning $10 Million Spectacular ticket from the Food Lion on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte.
“You hear about this, but you don’t ever think it’s going to happen to you,” he said.
Prast arrived at lottery headquarters Friday to claim his prize.
After required federal and state tax withholdings, he took home $71,514.
He plans to use his winnings to take a vacation to a tropical island.
