The Chicago Bulls ’ injury woes have pushed coach Billy Donovan to put his players out there for far longer than usual. On Wednesday night, Coby White played all but five minutes in the Bulls’ 117-110 win over the Charlotte Hornets, producing 35 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds in another stellar performance from the North Carolina native.
Afterward, Donovan lauded White for his gutsy performance, which came on the heels of their terrible loss to the Toronto Raptors the previous night.
Second night of a back-to-back
Back-to-back games in the NBA are no mean feat. NBA games are demanding on the mind and body, and for someone like White , who the opposing defense schemes against, it is an even tougher task.
However, on Wednesday night, he showed he could produce at a high level despite facing adversity. After their disappointing loss to the Raptors, White shook off any fatigue or mental strain from playing back-to-back games and put on an impressive performance in front of his hometown fans.
