More than 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel stolen from Fort Mill gas station: Sheriff

FORT MILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Authorities are seeking suspects wanted for allegedly stealing more than 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel from a York County gas station Wednesday.

According to the York County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened between 3 p.m. Feb. 6 and 12:30 a.m. Feb 7 at the Gate Station on S.C. 160 West. During that span, a suspect reportedly broke open a gas pump then unscrewed the meter that tracks how much fuel is being dispensed.

Deputies say 2,146 gallons were stolen. There are three suspect vehicles involved, and the drivers are wanted for grand larceny.

Two pickups, one red and another white, returned multiple times to the gas station during the hours listed, and a black truck was only seen one time.
