CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A suspect was arrested Friday for a deadly shooting near East Mecklenburg High School last Halloween, police announced. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said that 26-year-old Ja’Wan Smith was charged with murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Camron Robinson on Halloween. Robinson was found shot to death along Eaglewood Avenue around 10 p.m. on Oct. 31, CMPD said.
