Police are investigating a deadly shooting near a bowling alley in south Charlotte early Sunday morning.
One man was killed after being shot around 1 a.m. at the 4500 block of South Boulevard. A viewer told us police set up a perimeter surrounding the area right outside the Bowlero bowling alley, which is at 4501 South Boulevard.
Police say they responded to a call for an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds who died at the scene.
Channel 9′s photographer at the scene saw bullet holes on the outside walls of the bowling alley, and he said the glass on top of the door entrance was broken.
Information is very limited. It’s unclear whether the shooting happened inside or outside the bowling alley. CMPD only released that they are conducting a homicide investigation in the 4500 block of South Boulevard.
