Another hot and humid day has come and gone in the Carolinas to kick off June’s final weekend, but widespread storm activity is nowhere to be found. Your lawn’s fortune will begin to change, however, on Sunday as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Scattered showers and storms will pop up on a steamy afternoon as highs soar into the 80s and 90s across the board to close out the weekend. A level 1 out of 5 risk has been posted for the entirety of the WCCB Charlotte viewing area, as a few cells may pack gusty winds and small hail along with localized torrential rainfall.
