Thursday Outlook: Muggy, more persistent rain headed our way

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Wet and dreary today with the potential for some localized flooding.

We’ll start off mostly cloudy with spotty showers as temperatures sit in the low to mid-70s across the Carolinas. Mountain counties will see most of the showers with mid-60s on tap to kick things off!

Rain and even some periods of heavy rain will be likely throughout the morning and afternoon as moisture continues to flow into the Carolinas. This will lead to some flood concerns so be sure to stay weather aware if you find yourself in a low lying or flood prone area.

Highs will and in the low to mid-80s today which is about 5 degrees below normal for this time of year. Cloudy skies will dominate through the afternoon and evening with overnight lows dipping into the low 70s.

We’ll look to finish off the work week with mid-80s and partly to mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers and storms linger through weeks end before we dry out this weekend.
