Search of Lincolnton home leads to large narcotic drug bust

LINCOLNTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A large amount of narcotics and cash was seized from a Lincolnton home, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say in early July, the sheriff’s office’s narcotics unit received numerous tips from the public regarding an individual suspected of drug activity. It was suspected that Terry Lee McConneaughey, 49 was selling large amounts of narcotics throughout Lincoln County.

During the investigation, the unit spent many hours surveying McConneaughey’s residence on Nottingham Road.

Investigators conducted traffic stops on individuals leaving the residence and seized narcotics. Investigators also made purchases from the residence and McConneaughey.

On September 4, the narcotics unit executed a search warrant on the residence. and seized:

  • 110 grams of methamphetamine (nearly 4 ounces)
  • 192 grams of fentanyl (over 6 ounces)
  • 20 grams of ecstasy
  • 15 grams of heroin
  • 3 grams of crack cocaine
  • $1,400 in cash
