Storm system could form off Carolina coast

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A storm system could develop off the coast of the Carolinas by early next week. A low-pressure system could form this weekend along the Carolina coast, according to the WCNC Weather Impact team. That cluster of storms has about a 40% chance of developing into a subtropical or tropical depression, according to analysis by the National Hurricane Center.
