In the early morning hours of Aug. 15, 2020, the victim was at a birthday party for a friend, according to authorities. At trial, she said she was intoxicated and fell asleep because it wasn’t safe for her to drive home. A few hours later, she woke up and an unknown person, Villavicencio, was lying next to her.
