13-year-old boy stabbed at CMS middle school: CMPD

CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A 13-year-old boy was stabbed on Monday at a CMS middle school, according to documents from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around noon on Monday, Oct. 14, officers responded to Southwest Middle School about an aggravated assault.

According to the police report, a suspect, whose age is unknown, stole from the boy and stabbed him with a knife. Officials say the boy was stabbed on school grounds and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

CMS told Queen City News the incident involved students. It is unclear if any disciplinary measures were brought forth.
