JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man wanted on murder charges out of Charlotte was arrested Tuesday in eastern Tennessee.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Henry Centeno Renteria was arrested at a residence 8 miles north of Johnson City and is being charged with fugitive from justice. He has an active warrant for first-degree murder from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police from an alleged incident on March 16.
Washington County deputies took Renteria into custody and transported him to the local jail. He is being held without bond pending extradition.
Renteria is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Nov. 6.
