According to a new report, NC-based Tegra is closing its plant in NC – and over 60 workers will lose their jobs. According to the report, the sports apparel company will close its facility in Concord on March 31, 2025, and will lay off 61 workers.
The workers were reportedly notified about the closure in September. The workers will be laid off in waves, with 37 being laid off on November 12, seven on December 31, and the remaining 19 on March 31, 2025.
The company released a statement saying, “The reason for the plant closure was based on supply chain disruption, the inflationary marketplace, and reduced customer demands that have adversely affected our business operations”. The facility has been in Concord for almost 30 years.
