PHOTOS: West Concord home catches fire early Friday morning

CONCORD, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A home in western Concord is destroyed following an early morning fire, according to the Concord Fire Department.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on Grand Canyon Road NW around 5:48 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. This is near Poplar Tent Road and George W. Liles Parkway.

Fire crews say they arrived to see heavy smoke and fire coming from the one-story home. The fire was controlled in about 19 minutes.
