CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ellen Miller is one of many tenants at Lamplighter Inn in west Charlotte who feels taken advantage of. “We have a target on our back,” said Miller. It all started after hearing about a transitional housing program that aims to help those in need. That hope was quickly washed away after what Miller calls “months of dishonesty.”
