59-year-old man injured in Gastonia gas station shooting: police

GASTONIA, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — A 59-year-old man is injured after a shooting at a gas station, according to the Gastonia Police Department.

Just before 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, officers responded to the shooting at Omni Mart on South York Road in Gastonia.

Police say a 59-year-old man was shot several times inside the store. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

James McClain, 38, was identified as the shooter. As of Tuesday morning, no charges have been filed and detectives are actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.
