STANLEY, N.C. (WBTV) – Gaston County Police released more information after fatally shooting a man in Stanley in early December. The shooting happened just after 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 at a home on Beau Drive. At first, officers just said they were responding to a 911 call in the area and that there was an encounter between the officer and another person and, as a result, the officer shot and killed the other person.
