CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was arrested in an off-duty incident early Christmas Eve. The department said that they were called shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 to a domestic violence assault with a deadly weapon call. Officer Onesiphorus Bernard Williams was taken to the Law Enforcement Center in Uptown and charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun.
