There may not be a ball drop, but there are still several events happening on Dec. 31 to ring in the New Year in Gaston County.
Here’s a quick list of ways to celebrate.
Noon Year’s Eve parties
On New Year’s Eve, both the town of McAdenville and the Schiele Museum will host Noon Year’s Eve parties – midday events that allow the little ones to celebrate.
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., families can attend McAdenville’s Noon Year’s Eve Party in the Park at 115 Main St. to enjoy a bubble freeze dance party, craft stations for kids, a Best Festive Winter Outfit contest, igloo warming stations, treats, and photo opportunities throughout the park.
The Schiele Museum invites the public to say goodbye to 2024 with traditions from around the world while counting down to midnight with international friends at noon Eastern Standard Time. Access to the celebration is included with the purchase of regular museum admission.
Cherryville Shooters
Starting at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 31, the Cherryville Traditional New Year Shooters host a family-friendly New Year’s celebration on Cherryville’s Main Street.
