CHARLOTTE ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Two people have been rushed to the hospital with serious injuries following a shooting Wednesday afternoon off I-485 in southwest Charlotte.
The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, on the I-485 Outer exit ramp to South Tryon Street, according to Charlotte Medic.
Police say a suspect shot at another vehicle while driving on I-485 after a dispute. Medic confirms with Queen City News that two people were shot and transported to Atrium CMC for treatment.

State Highway Patrol and Charlotte Mecklenburg Police officers found the suspect’s vehicle and a chase ensued. The pursuit later ended with the suspect’s arrest.
Expect heavy traffic delays in the area during Wednesday evening’s commute.
