Student expelled for performing at alcohol-friendly venue to perform at Charlotte music festival

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A local singer recently expelled from a Gaston County high school in a controversial move will perform at a major Charlotte festival in May.

Bailey Griggs, known by her stage name, Bailey Marie, was expelled from Cramerton Christian Academy in 2024 after performing at a Charlotte venue that served alcohol.
